Have I mentioned...?

I have been working on a book about my time in the Adirondacks. It's proposed title is:
The Adirondacks, which are the Other Half of Me

It is not a memoir, I do not think anyone would want to read about me specifically; it is about my time in the Adirondacks over the years. Certainly, I report on adventures that I took, or events that occurred when I was present- but everything I have recounted are happenings that could have happened to, included, and/or been memorable for, anyone that has been enchanted by the majesty of the region.

From my first trip at six weeks of age up Tongue Mountain when my father's car overheated and my mother thought we would careen down the side never to be heard from again(told to me by my parents of course); to the heartfelt loss last summer, of the dear woman (two weeks short of her ninetieth birthday) who co-founded the vacation community on Brant Lake where we live the warmer six months of the year, I have remembered it all.

There are stories that have brought me smiles. There are stories that have brought me to tears and, there are stories at which I have laughed out loud as I remembered the silliness with which those times were riddled.

I revel in the recollection of those times. I hope that when I am finished, and it is all said and done, those that read it will revel in their own memories of their time spent in the Adirondacks.
