...and that means it is one day closer to my trek northward. May is our H-E double hockey sticks month! We have the spring cleaning of the house-in and out, the yard and the camp in the ADKS. We have opening the pool, opening the camp, opening our minds- yet keeping in them that we have all this prep stuff to do before we can become totally oblivious to our "real life". May is our daur's birthday month as well. When she was little it was a humungous deal and that really added pressure to our month but as she has gotten older she prefers we stifle it a bit. (Why does a 24th birthday with a party on our deck and pool get the response "No, that's okay. Thanks, but we'll probably go out." ? She may however let us take her to the Hibachi place north of here...Anyway, I digress-)
Soon it will be time to hit the concrete thoroughfare northward to our beloved Brant Lake. The time can never get here soon enough. I must admit thought that the time is rolling around a bit more quickly! As the years pass I dislike the trip itself more and more but, as the years go by I realize I, one day, will be an Adirondack year-round Wanna B!
